Oakwood Community Amenities
Living in the Oakwood neighborhood in Downtown Raleigh is one of my favorite places. It has everything I need from grocery stores, fitness centers, coffee shops, vets, dog parks, and entertainment. This is part of the reason why the neighborhood is so desirable! It is densely populated for the Raleigh area, which has pros and cons in and of itself, yet there is always something happening!

Sidewalks and trees line the streets in Oakwood making it the ideal place for a walk or jog. Oakwood provides a candlelight tour in December which allows access to the interior of a number of homes in one of Raleigh's historic neighborhoods. Once a year the garden tour will be presented to display some of Oakwood's best gardens as well. The Raleigh homes for sale in Oakwood are beautiful.

The neighborhood was built in northeast downtown Raleigh and was built in the dense woods known as 'Mordecai Grove.' The neighborhood is next to Mordecai, Downtown, Hayes Barton and just south of Five Points. You will find it to be one of the best neighborhoods in downtown Raleigh.
